Day 2 started hard with the Three Capes scenic loop since there were photo stops and climbs in equal measure. After Pacific City, the old 101 ran up through the forest with another huge climb then beautiful run down to Otis and an elk burger in the Otis cafe. A rollercoaster through Lincoln city then back on the 101 and a turn off to Devil’s Punchbowl for a monster ice cream, a reunion of the whole group and a first sighting of a whale off the coast. Straight run along the beach after that all the way to Newport for sea lions and Local Ocean Seafoods. Ended the day sunburned, salty and satisfied.
