There Be Gingers is participating in two and a half Brits alongside two and a half Americans attempting to ride the Oregon coast in 5 days from Washington State to California. From Astoria to Brookings taking in both state borders, the route will cover around 392 miles and 22,000 feet of climbing along some of the world’s most stunning coastline. Whether tackling the Seven Devils, trying not to fall into Thor’s Well or resisting the lure of the Pelican Brewery, you can follow the journey here.

Bob Gilmour: Lover of all things international, explorer of Oregon by bike and singer/guitarist in a local rock band. Has been planning this for the last few years to gather some friends and family and ride this iconic coastal route. In it for the company, the challenge and Oregon’s fine local food & drink scene, Bob is doing the ride for the charity INTO Giving!
The US Participants

J’aime Moore: Bitten by the wanderlust bug, this adventurer & technology enthusiast adores everything about the outdoors! From cycling to kayaking to scuba and nearly everything in between that generates a good sweat and the opportunity to embrace the natural world. When presented with the opportunity to traverse Oregon’s beautiful coast by bike he had a simple response: Let’s Ride.

Dave Parsons: Nearly a native Oregonian. Started riding bikes at age 5 on a Schwinn single speed banana seat. Deviated somewhere along the way to become a colorectal surgeon. Surgery is the hobby that supports the other hobbies including woodworking, skiing, wakesurfing, triathlons, and occasionally writing/singing parody songs with Bob Gilmour. Will be doing the Rider Cup 2022 on a Trek Domane and grateful to have Suzy along to help us out.
